Installation of the Flow Performance FP1 Electronic Flow Rate Processor to a flow bench
The FP1 can replace your existing manometers as shown.
Test pressure on a flow bench is usually measured with a U Tube vertical manometer, or a vertical well type manometer. The FP1 pressure sensor 1 (PS1) is used to measure test pressure in a flow bench installation.

Vertical Well The FP1 Pressure Sensor 1 connects to your flow bench test receptacle, settling or test chamber just as your vertical well manometer.

U Tube Vertical Since a U tube vertical manometer can be used in both directions, you need to connect your bench to the FP1 in the appropriate manor.

Inclined Well Most flow benches produce a "Differential Pressure". The differential pressure is usually measured with an inclined well manometer. The FP1 uses Pressure Sensor 2 (PS2) to measure differential pressure in a flow bench installation. The FP1 pressure sensor 2 connects to your flow bench just as your inclined manometer.

Connect your computer or Pocket PC
You connect your desk top or lap top PC serial port to the FP1 I/O Control port with the supplied serial cable. The serial cable is included with your FP1. USB to serial port converters are available if your computer does not have a serial port.
